Baker Builders had the privilege of working with yet another fantastic client in Chelsea, MI. Our relationship began only to be temporarily paused while our clients took an employment commitment in Europe. Communications continued for over 2 years, ultimately reaching the ability to build their new home while they remained overseas, and a goal to have it completed close to their return to the U.S.
Thanks to excellent communication from our client and an excellent team of professionals we were able to navigate permitting, demolition of an existing home, and build the new home in just over 4 months--all coming in under budget!
This new home fits perfectly within a narrow lake lot and provides excellent use of its space, including a large Owner Bedroom facing the lake, 2 other large bedrooms, an inviting entertainment space, a 3 season room (providing fantastic views), an oversized garage, and an office or multi-purpose room.
Some features of the home that were creatively and excellently chosen by our client included a Full House Standby Generator, Gas fireplace w/ beautiful stone facade, custom tile shower, built-in shelving, outside entertaining area, ship-lap internal siding w/ faux beams, and a beautiful and highly functional kitchen space w/ custom tile backsplash.
